Head of the BRT laboratory and postdoctoral researcher Assistant Professor Dr.\u00a0<\/span>Viktoriia Chubur<\/u><\/a>\u00a0contributed to two international scientific events organised by\u00a0Mykolaiv National Agrarian University<\/u><\/a>\u00a0in Ukraine. Through presentations addressing biotechnology and renewable energy, she joined international discussions on strengthening the connections between education, scientific research and practical application.<\/div>

Bridging Education, Research and Industry<\/strong><\/div>

The first event, the International Forum \u201cIntegration of Education, Science and Production,\u201d brought together representatives of universities, research institutions, public authorities and industry to discuss current challenges in the agricultural sector and explore opportunities for innovation-driven development.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
A central theme of the event was the need to strengthen cooperation between academic research, education and practical implementation. By bringing together participants from different sectors, the forum provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on how scientific knowledge can be translated into solutions that respond to real-world needs.<\/div>

During the plenary session, Viktoriia delivered a lecture titled \u201cFrom Knowledge to Impact: Bridging Education, Research and Industry.\u201d Her presentation highlighted the importance of moving scientific results beyond academic settings and connecting them with practical applications.<\/div>

The lecture particularly emphasised integrated approaches that link research, education and industry. Within the context of the circular bioeconomy, these connections can support the development of solutions that make more effective use of available resources and respond to challenges facing agriculture and related sectors.<\/div>

Exploring Innovations in Plant Biotechnology<\/strong><\/div>

In another event the following month, Viktoriia participated in the International Round Table \u201cInnovations in Plant Biotechnology: Education, Science, Production.\u201d The event focused on modern biotechnological approaches in plant science and their potential applications in agriculture.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Her presentation, a\u201cDevelopment of Biotechnologies for the Conversion of Plant Residues into Biogas,\u201d examined how agricultural residues can be utilised as feedstock for renewable energy production.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The contribution addressed the challenges associated with lignocellulosic biomass, particularly its limited biodegradability. Viktoriia discussed how appropriate pretreatment strategies can improve the breakdown of plant-based materials during anaerobic digestion, contributing to greater process efficiency and increased methane yields.<\/div>

The presentation demonstrated how biotechnology can help transform agricultural residues into valuable energy resources, connecting waste management with renewable energy production and circular bioeconomy principles.<\/div>

Both events created opportunities for international knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary discussion among participants from academia, public institutions and industry.
