Improving the elements of corn growing technology for biogas production
Objectives of the project
The project aims to determine the yield of green mass of corn hybrids and the output of biogas at different levels of mineral nutrition and the use of plant growth regulators. It is planned to determine: corn hybrid, which provides maximum yield and biogas output; features of growth, development of corn hybrids depending on the level of mineral nutrition and plant growth regulators; formation of photosynthetic productivity of corn hybrids under the influence of mineral fertilizers and plant growth regulators; yield of green mass of corn hybrids and product quality indicators; calculation of biogas output and energy from biogas depending on the studied factors.
Field experiments will be conducted in the research field of Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University (Ukraine) in 2022. Determination of quality indicators of corn green mass will be carried out in a certified laboratory.

Multidisciplinary research team composition:
The main project coordinator responsible for planning activities, schedule, financial management, achieving outputs and communication, as well as conducting experiments and collecting data is Doctor of Agricultural Science, Mykola Grabovskyi (Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, Head of the Department technologies in crop production and plant protection).
Dr. Hynek Roubík, Group leader of Biogas Research Team, Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He will be responsible for the working on the final paper.
Assistant Professor, PhD Yurii Fedoruk (Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, Department of technologies in crop production and plant protection), he will take part in conducting field experiment, data analysis and organization of a lecture of the discipline “Bioenergy crops” for student’s specialty “Agronomy”.
Ing. Marek Jelínek, PhD student, member of Biogas Research Team, Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He will be participating in the data analysis and working on the final paper.
Yulia Silka, master degree student (Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, speciality 201 “Agronomy”), she will take part in conducting field experiment, seminars and workshops.
Konstantin Pavlichenko, PhD student (Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, speciality 201 “Agronomy”), he will take part in conducting field experiment, seminars and workshops.
